Two of our favorite homegrown restaurants recently announced they're closing their doors.

Chef and restaurateur Chris Palmeri posted on Facebook today that Desnudo Tacos at 3240 Arville Street will be shuttering this week. Palmeri's post explains he was unable to negotiate a new lease for the Mexican restaurant and he's searching for a new location. Working with chef Christian Dolias, Palmeri opened the shop early this year to immediate critical acclaim, a follow-up to his popular Naked City Pizza Shop. Desnudo Tacos was awarded as Best New Off-Strip Restaurant in this year's Best of Vegas awards in Las Vegas Weekly.

Nosh & Swig, a small plates-focused restaurant on East Flamingo Road created by locals Steve and Lorie Piamchuntar, closed last week just short of two years in business. The couple is hoping to re-open soon. The Weekly recently featured new menu items at Nosh & Swig, so here's hoping we can all eat them again. Ditto for Desnudo's Cali burrito and goat tacos.
