Khoury’s Fine Wine & Spirits has closed its beloved space on Eastern Avenue for a summer renovation. The 17-year-old bottle shop and specialty store closed on July 4 but will continue to take curbside and delivery orders until it reopens later this summer with an enlarged patio space with direct access to food trucks, additional beer and wine coolers, a walk-in wine, increased seating with workstations and more. Nick Jonas and John Varvatos are launching pop-up tequila bar Villa One Tequila Gardens this week at Harmon Corner on the Las Vegas Strip. The walk-up bar will offer a variety of drinks made with the spirit brand created by the musician and the designer, including the specialty Cantarito, with Villa One tequila, fresh lemon, lime, orange and grapefruit juices, rock salt and grapefruit soda. The duo is planning to open a full-service bar in Las Vegas in the coming year as well as locations in San Diego, Miami, New York City and Los Angeles.

Sparrow + Wolf will once again transform into a French brasserie for Bastille Day on July 14, offering a special menu of classics plus live music and special wines on the holiday from 5 until 10 p.m. Dishes will include: beef tartare with confit egg yolk, capers and cornichons; Salade Lyonaisse with crispy duck confit; escargot and morel mushroom toasts with lemon and black truffle; steak frites with Bernaise sauce; Gnocchi a la Parisienne; and skate wing with brown butter toasted almonds, capers and lemon. Pub 365 at the Tuscany Suites & Casino will host its sixth annual Silver State Brewfest on July 16 from 4 until 8 p.m. at the bar and the resort’s Casino Florentine Ballroom. All-you-can-drink offerings from CraftHaus Brewery, Pigeon Head Brewery, 10 Torr Distilling and Brewing, Revision Brewing, Astronomy Aleworks, Desert Cane Distillery, Bad Beat Brewing, North 5th Brewing Co., Frey Ranch Distillery, Tenaya Creek Brewery and more will be available and a portion of proceeds will benefit the Nevada Craft Brewers Association. Tickets range from $50 to $100 and are available at evenbrite.com and secretburger.com.

The Underground Speakeasy and Distillery at the Mob Museum has received two awards in the 2022 Central Coast Wine and Spirits Competition for its house-distilled moonshine. It earned double gold for its 100-proof Cinn-City moonshine, flavored with cinnamon and brown sugar, and silver for its Ginger Jake moonshine, featuring citrus and ginger notes.

Award-winning chef Danny Lledó of Xiquet and Slate Wine Bar in Washington, D.C., will team with Le Cirque executive chef Dameon Evers for a special seven-course dining experience at the landmark Bellagio restaurant on August 5 and 6. Reservations are required with seatings at 5 and 8:30 p.m. both nights, with the menu priced at $225 per person with wine pairing option for $185. For reservations, call 702-693-8100.

Downtown Grand has announced it will open two local favorites in the coming months, Hot N Juicy Crawfish in September and Yama Sushi early next year. The new Hot N Juicy spot will be its fifth location in Nevada and 14th nationwide, opening next to Triple George Grill. And Yama will bring its fourth Las Vegas restaurant to the Downtown casino property on the ground floor.

Osteria Fiorella at Red Rock Resort has unveiled new summer menu items featuring fresh seasonal ingredients. Some of the new dishes: baby gem salad with poached lobster and shrimp; half chicken with grilled broccolini; Sungold tomato pizza with fontina cheese and basil; squash blossoms with battuto; corn caramelle with pickled blueberries and basil; and tagliatelle with braised pork shank and English peas.

Zeffer’s Café at Sahara Las Vegas has added new items to its breakfast menu, including: lemon raspberry pancakes; Grand Marnier French toast with whipped mascarpone and candied orange; steak and eggs with a 12-ounce ribeye, three eggs, fingerling potatoes and toast; and avocado toast with sourdough bread, Green Goddess dressing and togarashi.
