Gay nightlife staple Share abruptly announced its closure late last month, effectively leaving the LGBT community with one gay nightclub, Fruit Loop veteran Piranha.

Things are looking up, though, for those looking to cut a rug surrounded by fabulous drag queens and go-go boys as a handful of LGBT nightspots recently launched social-media webpages listing their impending openings.

Housed in the former Rendezvous space on Arville off Tropicana, Krush nightclub will celebrate its grand opening July 22. The venue is already promoting weekly parties (Hip-Hop Wednesdays, Throwback Thursdays, F*ck It Fridays, Shirtless Saturdays and Latin Night Sundays) and drag shows hosted by local queen Elektra Del Rio. The building maintains its adult entertainment cabaret license, so private dance rooms will be part of the club’s programming.

Speaking of Rendezvous, Facebook users who were part of a group to market the club might’ve recently noticed they’re now part of a Revolt nightclub group. While the upcoming club announced a late summer opening, it’s not releasing any other details—including its location, though an employee confirms the space will be “east of the Boulevard.”

The Fruit Loop is also gaining another gay nightspot in Elevate, which aims to open its doors this fall. Its address indicates the lounge will be located in the space next to Piranha, left vacant by the Cottage Café.

Neaby and not exactly new, the Locker Room has been flying somewhat under the radar after opening in June in the suite next to the space formerly occupied by Club Unity. In addition to live entertainment and drag performances, the venue offers a full food menu.

Also, two new LGBT parties at mainstream nightlife destinations have popped up. LUX Saturdays opened at Town Square’s Neche on July 16, and Clique Lounge at Cosmopolitan launches its Together Tuesdays on July 19.
