SPORTS: LIV GOLF LAS VEGAS The upstart, 13-team pro golf league founded in 2022 by Hall of Famer Greg Norman lands in Las Vegas at a supremely interesting time. Sure, it’s Super Bowl weekend, but the last week has sparked merger talk with LIV and the PGA Tour, which has been forced to line up new investment to continue to compete. No matter how that works out, fans will be able to experience LIV’s “disruptive” and different style of golf (just 54 holes over three days, special team competitions, bigger paydays and an overall more party-ready atmosphere) at the Las Vegas Country Club throughout the weekend, with various ticket levels and hospitality-heavy experiences. Party hole cabana, anyone? Thru 2/10, times vary, $150+, Las Vegas Country Club, livgolf.com. –Brock Radke

ARTS: X What would it be like to survive on a space station on Pluto? You can find out from the comfort of your seat at A Public Fit’s staging of X by Alistair McDowall. The sci-fi thriller focuses on characters working on a desolate space station on Pluto. When the crew of researchers loses contact with Earth, they struggle to combat their isolation and stay alive. “You think you’re watching a gritty science fiction drama, then maybe it’s a psychological mystery and then, bam! The ghosts show up,” says artistic director Jake Staley. “I would call it magical realism, meets absurdism, meets sci-fi.” A haunting atmosphere and compelling storytelling will transport you to another planet. Thru 3/4 (days vary), 2 & 7 p.m., $40, Super Summer Theater Studios, apublicfit.org. –Shannon Miller

MISC: AEW COLLISION Question: Is there any sporting event Green Valley’s Dollar Loan Center arena can’t host? Answer: Apparently not. AEW has been battling the behemoth WWE for TV ratings since the former league was founded five years ago, and this installation of Collision will be broadcast on TNT. Expect appearances and bouts from the likes of Bryan Danielson, Julia Hart, Christian Cage, Samoa Joe, Ricky Starks and Big Bill. 4 p.m., $20-$90, Dollar Loan Center, axs.com. –Brock Radke

MISC: DAVID BLAINE The last time we saw David Blaine, he was plummeting to his death. This year? The magician with nine lives is upping the ante at Impossible, a new residency show that puts Blaine’s most heart-pounding stunts at the forefront for our viewing pleasure. The Brooklyn illusionist has a proven track record of crazy stunts—the man has eaten glass and been buried alive; he’s not fooling around, people—so we can only guess what he has in store for his latest Vegas production. Perhaps he’ll return to his street magic roots with a bit of card trick sleight of hand. Or maybe he’ll ingest a few nails, as previously seen on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon. The unpredictability of this showman is where the magic truly begins. 8 p.m., $100-$250, Encore Theater, ticketmaster.com. –Amber Sampson
